At Direct Enviro Services, we believe that delivering high-quality highway maintenance and traffic management is just one part of what we do. We’re equally committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities and environments we work in.

Giving Back to the Community

We’re proud to be a local company with strong local ties. We actively support causes and organisations that benefit our community, including:

Young Lives Foundation

In December 2024 we launched a partnership with Young Lives Foundation, a dedicated children’s charity in Kent who provide Advocacy and Youth Programmes to create safe communities where children are listened to, supported & empowered!
We were absolutely delighted to be able to make a small contribution towards the incredible work of the volunteers behind the foundation and had our new Spearhead rotary hedge cutter painted in the charity’s colours and printed with their logo.

Kit Sponsors for Ashford Courtside FC U13s

We’re proud to sponsor Ashford Courtside FC Under 13s with their new match kit for the coming season.

Supporting local teams is part of our commitment to giving back to the community and encouraging young people to stay active and develop their skills. Ashford Courtside FC provides a safe and enjoyable environment for players to grow and play to the best of their ability – and we can’t wait to see the team in action this season.

Supporting the local Cricket Club with grounds maintenance & kit sponsorship

Every year we like to help the local cricket club (Stone-in-Oxney) maintain their roadside hedge, presenting a tidy appearance for any new and returning visitors. The cricket club often hold various fairs and craft events throughout the summer, we are delighted to be able to offer our services when needed.

We have also extended our support and are delighted to be the official sponsors for the cricket club kit.

Donating wood chip to local nursery forest school

We have recently delivered free woodchip to the local nursery (Little Pickles) for their forest school.

During previous winter months they have had to reduce the amount of time the children spend in the woods due to slippery conditions. They are hoping the woodchip will enable them to utilise the forest for as long as possible, resulting in happy children and happy care givers.

Supporting Demelza House with grounds maintenance

In 2019 we were approached by Amey (as part of their social value programme) to carry out weed spraying and hedge cutting to the grounds of the local Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

These aren’t just one-off gestures, they’re part of how we operate as a business with heart.

Supporting local spaces – Roundabout Revamp

In Herne Bay, our team have given a local roundabout a well-deserved refresh as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the spaces we all share.

We supplied the paint, provided traffic management and had two of our ground operatives on site to assist with vegetation removal and re-laying fresh shingle. It’s amazing what a little weeding, painting and care can do to transform a space!

The residents were happy to share their appreciation :

“I would just like to say a massive thank you all for the amazing work you did on the roundabout. “

A fantastic community effort.

We aim to leave a positive legacy through every project we complete. Whether it’s improving road safety, creating local employment opportunities, or supporting charitable causes, we believe that the true measure of our success is the value we bring to others.

We’re always looking for new ways to collaborate with local partners, charities, and sustainability projects. If you’d like to work with us or learn more about our social value commitments...
