“I’m at Thistledown, Walmer. At 12:30 this morning a huge beech tree collapsed across our roadway, causing a total blockage. I can’t tell you how surprised and delighted I was to hear chainsaws starting up at 4am. Your three chaps did a tremendous job and had made a lot of progress in clearing the road by 6:30am. They didn’t even want to stop to have a cup of tea I was offering them! I’d like to thank you for such a good work, especially at a time when so many people only moan, particularly about public services. Many thanks.”
